Rum bottle - any cool ones out there?

In keeping with my "pirates" theme, I am looking to find a nice rum bottle but since I don't drink, does anyone know if any come in a nice clear type of jug? or even an opague?

Will I need to do anything special with it besides wash it really good?

Any of you have this type of aquascape? Please share!!!

Thanks in advance!

I love rum! Most that look like 'jugs' are a solid color. The most interesting bottles that come to mind are Crown Royal or Captain Morgan Private Stock. Both have a stunted round shape to them. Sadly I think they have labels that you would want to take off so I'm not sure on them being specifically recognized as rum bottles except by a rum enthusiast or alcoholic.

I know that there's a clear vodka bottle in the shape of a skull. Pretty Pricey treat however.

The Kraken is a good rum and it looks more like a jug?

oO The brand name is embossed too! That would look pretty cool even without the label. And I know which you're talking about...crystal head vodka. It is extremely pricy, to me anyways.

oh YEAH! Forgot about the Crystal skull. I see it at Costco all the time - It's about $35.00 and I always wanted the bottle for Halloween decorations.... Hmmmm.. That is def a thought now!!!! But, it might be a bit big for my tank ( 36 gallon )
I wonder if I should wait until the holidays to find my rum bottle - you know, when they have the promo stuff. Problem is, I don't drink so someone would have to do the honors! LOL

You'll make some vodka lover very happy by asking them to drink that for you lol.

lol now I wouldn't want to be the cause of someone going alcoholic ( or recovering )

I think I will go online ( ebay ) or something for empty ones........

You could try asking at liquor stores if they have any empty bottles leftover from tastings. Or even local bars/restaurants.

Great idea! I think I may have scored a crystal skull bottle though. A friend told me he had one he was going to give me....

I'll have to check the bars/liquor store for the empty rum bottles... LOL
