Rufus the Albino Rainbow Shark

Here's Rufus, my Albino Rainbow Shark. I recently bought him at Petsmart and he doesn't bother anybody. He's not housed with Cole, my first Rainbow Shark to avoid aggression with each other since Rainbow Sharks do not tolerate each other.

Rufus died suddenly today. I came back home today and saw that he was dead in an ornament .

Sorry about your loss. That has always been my experience with Rainbow sharks in the past. They would do well for a while grow and suddenly with no reasoning that I could see would die after 4 or 5 months.

Hence I don't try to get them anymore even though I really like how they look

 

Cole is still alive, and I have had him since April. There is some rainbow sharks that died at their maximum age; 8 years old.

 

He was very pretty! My first rainbow shark (cat) lived for 4 years in my moms tank when I was younger and that's saying something bc she didn't know how to properly care for fish. The thing that took that tank out was ich.
My current rainbow (sharkbait) has been living with me since June. He was one of the first fish I bought and the poor guy had to suffer with me while I learned about fish keeping lol. He's now happy and healthy in a 55G and loving it.
