Ruby and/or Emerald get a bigger home

I have the 5 gallon running in the room next to mine and was thinking of putting one of the two baby girls there. Now the only problem is, which one gets the 5 gallon and which gets the 2.5? I am probably going to move them tomorrow after coming back from the LFS with some new B. neons and harlequins. If you could help with who goes where, that would be great. The pics need to be updated big time.

They are beautiful, and I love their names! Lucky girls... I don't know how you would decide that, really. For mine it's always been who's healthy enough to go into a larger tank... Maybe flip a coin?

Thank you, I have had them for some time and realized that since the killifish fry aren't getting big very fast, I would put the tank to some use.

That's a tough call. Who's bigger and who seems to swim around the most? that's who i'd put in the 5g.

That's the problem, they are both really active and about the same size.

Yea.. coin flip.. I think they'll both be happy.. we have a couple females in 2.5g tanks and 1 in a 5 gallon and they're all happy.

What about dividing the tank and putting both in?

i'd only go with the dividing if you are using the 5 gallon in the future. easier to treat them in separate tanks or add vitamins, etc.

Makes sense, I will first test the water tomorrow and do a few more things and then check with the poll and see who goes in.

They're both so adorable! I'd have a hard time deciding too although the one in the 2.5 gallon will still be perfectly happy. I'd say go with the coin flip.

 

So far it looks like Ruby is getting a bigger home.
