29 Gallon Tank Rubberlip Pleco

Considering getting a rubber lipped pleco for my mothers 29 gallon. However don't know too much about them beyond they're heavy algae eaters that have to get used to being fed other foods and can get up to 4.5 inches. I know they need mostly plant based diet.
Otherwise I'm a bit clueless on temperament, temperature range and all the inbetween.

My 29 is kept at 78F, has 3 honey gouramis and a mystery snail.
End goal will also add a single angelfish and 6 harlequin rasbora.
Has lots of plants.

Any advice and suggestions on where I could buy one? I'll check my LFS but would rather buy from someone in here.

I wouldn't in that set up.

Rubber Lips are wildcaught fish that like a nice waterflow and cool water (in fact like hillstream). I have a 3000 l/ph wavemaker in my tank.Your honeys on the other hand don't like such a flow.

They aren't that good algae-eaters. In fact mine is 99,9% carnivorious.

They are great fish and not aggressive (maybe males of the same species are ?)

Ah okay thank you.
My mothers set on a pleco for her 29gallon, but clowns hide all the time and she finds the Male BNs creepy xD
I might have to find her a female BN because that's seeming like the only option at this point. I definitely don't want to get a fish if it's going to be unhappy in the tank

Those are super pretty. I'll show her those, esp since they are on the smaller side.
The bristles on the males nose freak her out so whatever kind I get of the bristlenose family, I'll have to get a female.

But if she doesn't get one of those, I might get one in my 55 gallon xD theyre gorgeous. As long as they'd be okay with a large school of corys-

They are okay with Corys ant the other way around.

Oh awesome. Thank you.
Are those fairly commonly found? Wondering if I can find some at my LFS since I haven't seen anyone on fishlore selling them

I don't know how common they are in the US. Here they are. Often offered as L144.

I'll look at my LFS when I go to pick up more neons. Maybe they'll have some or be willing to order some.
I'm attempting to hatch some cory eggs before I go buy more Cory's since it seems like a fun project.
