Sir Royal Blue has changed so much since I brought him home, thought you might want to see new picshoto:

His face/head is MUCH darker and his little side long flippers are RED and his tail is much fuller and flowy.

its hard to get profile pics of him, cuz whenever i'm near the tank he just wants to look at me and make faces

the first pic is how he looked with I first got him.

the LAST pic is a Bizarre GHOST pic, see the kitty ghost on top?!? :;ghost
we don't have a kitty like that!:helpsmilie:

Yes his Ventrails have turned red and it is very attractive. He is absolutely beautiful (handsome). It shows that you have given him excellent care and good food and plenty of good clean water conditions. He looks wonderful and so happy.

Congratulations. Bet you did not think it was this easy to fall into the betta parent role!

Aren't they fun?

We're out of control with betta's now.................My nephew came over today and asked what's wrong with me..............Everywhere you look there's a fish tank. I'm thinking of selling our house just to have more room for more fish tanks...... I need an intervention of some kind:'(

No intervention here, we're just enablers lol

Well, you have to keep the house to have a place for the tanks.. but do you really need furniture that doesn't support tanks?

Rick,

If you need intervention you should call Steve....He tells me everyday I've lost my mind lol.....As far as getting help here on the forum well, I'm afraid this is not the place.....

Hey wait, I think I figured out how you can feel better about this....Go buy another Betta! lol

Rick,

I am afraid I introduced Minx to the site at Miami Aquariums the other day so she now knows about those bettas too. I am the chief enabler here so I definitely am not the one to come to for help. I would have at least another dozen tanks myself if the carpenter had not told me that my house would not stand up under any more weight from the tanks so I had to quit.

This is wonderful business. When you have talked to them for a while and socialized with them the bettas become your buddies and you begin to understand the dependency there. So go get a nice cold drink and settle down in a chair by the fish tanks and have a long chat with the nearest little guy and things will look "betta."

Seriously, I do hope you have a wonderful 4th of July and think of all the good you are doing for the fish you have saved. They are really wonderful little guys.

You know Rose....................Its not your fault, its mine. I started this whole fish thing about a year and a half ago with my wife and it just grew. and grew and grew. We both are such animal lovers its just nuts to begin with. I dig the betta's but those are her babies. I just get the fun stuff like maintenance........ They are very interesting little fish. I'm diving into salt right now so my focus is a little a stray. Of course being a General Contractor myself I know how much weight my house can handle and we got a long ways to go..........Rose thank you soooo much for the advice on the meds, it was very confusing for Jacq and you made it very clear. I'm sure she will thank you herself........... I hope you and yours have a wonderful
4th and again thanks for all of your support and everyone else on here too....Too many too name but you all know who you are. Cheers to everyone.

You know it is a joint effort here. We all just work together and it works fine. I love being here and it is all because we have such a great group. This is fun and the fish make it just delightful. You never know when others get their fish just what they will be like and they are wonderful.

oh geez this fish love is not for the faint hearted

before I left for my trip last nite, I noticed Royal Blue's tail fins were RIPPED TO SHREADS!!

I have no idea what happened. he seems happy and swimming away, but he's lost 1/3 of his tail.

I just gave him the miracle 3 and asked rick to keep a close eye on him.

I tried to take pics but he was swimming around like a mad man and I couldn't get a clear one.

he hates the camerahoto:especially when he's not looking his best

I hope he's gonna be ok,

if there is something rick can do for him, will someone please pm him.

If it gets any worse, I'd start trisulfa and rid-fungus but hopefully it's just damage and those 3 will take care of him.
