The rocks are very nice. Some links below that you might like to read to make sure yours are aquarium safe:

Thank you for the links. I certainly hope they are safe after I wash and scrub them, but I bought them at a LFS. If they kill my fish I will personally be very upset at the owner which I dealt with last night at his store.
To be honest this guy is kinda of a jerk either to me or just in general. I mean, I bought almost 20lbs of rock and I asked if he could give me a discount and Immediately blurted out NOPE....

Thank you JDcichlid.... I do really like them myself... If I am correct I have a father stone , dang I can't remember what the names of them should be...But Yes I plan to bank up high the substrate and create something with the rocks and yes I plan on getting some driftwood...

I believe that's granite. We've got a ton of it out here in California. Should be safe. That particular set looks unusually cool, too.

Thank you so much Eienna. Yes I think so too. I just hope I have the creativity to utilize them to there full potential. If any one has any arrangement ideas, please send them to me, would love to hear your suggestion.
You have to understand my lack of any kind of real creativity...oh my I have so little LOL...

OMG, I just realized I broke the rule of rock formation in aquariums. I have 6. You're never supposed to have any even number. Dag nabit. I just realized that. Gosh darn it...

I think this is called iwagumI style... I have a Primary (father) stone, a mother (secondary) stone

I had no clue there was supposed to be a rock rule! :sign0011:

I think the ones you picked will look amazing!!! Since there's an even number.. how about stick one off to it's side and tell it that it's special so that it doesn't feel discriminated against. lol. I am positive that however you arrange them your tank will look marvelous!

Thank you Shayla, yes I really am liking those rocks more and more and yes I agree I could place it apart from the rest and make it, it's own father stone LOL...

That's niiiiiiice! well, if you don't want to just send the extra to me you're fine so long as you keep everything (apart from the parental stones) seemingly random. Have two rocks close to each other over here, others seperated and gapped over there... you know! maybe have one "hiding" behind another! I love IwagumI and psuedo-iwagumI I'd love to do that with my tank! Congrats on the find!!!

Hi!

I am trying to find the perfect rocks as well, for and IwagumI set up, and I would have been very pleased with these!

Yes, there is an odd number of rocks rule, but I believe it applies to the large rocks, the ones that catch the eye immediately, an even number making it all look less natural!

Also, some rocks might raise the ph, and that is what I would monitor if I were you!

Finally, try aqualdesignamano and thegreenmachine on youtube. Both channels will show you great examples of Iwugami setups, the kinds that I dream of!!!

Oh, one last thing...

... We want pics!!!

Good luck!!!

Bonjour Monsieur, ca va?

I am originally from Sudbury northern ontario and we spoke french.. But living in London has made me lazy and most of my french is gone sadly... thank you for the nice words...

I will be using CO2 in that tank, It will be my shrimp aquascape and maybe some shoaling neons or some glowlights... So PH will be monitored and I hope to put some driftwood in as well.
I was considering putting some fluval peat in but Ive read that it really browns the water.

As for pictures UNFORTUNATLY won't be coming for quite some time, as I am no where near even ready to start the IwagumI setup. I need so many other things and with my city not really able to provide the required items I have to order from as far as the UK.

I don't even have a stand yet.. But I will most certainly get pics up...

Bonjour Ziabis!

So yeah, we are in the exact same process, and have similar plans!

Only difference is I think I am not going with driftwood this time. It is the centerpiece of my other tank. So for this one, I am going rocks, plants and moss, with shrimps and tetras! Haha!!!

What are you seeking to buy in th UK?

I have been looking for Seiryu rocks all over the place but shipping is almost prohibitive!!!

Still I am deep in the research process. Even drew some sketches. And did I dream in japanese last night? I might have!!!

N'oubliez pas votre beau français!!!

Au plaisir...

Those rocks are awesome. Is that quartz in them? I have been trying to find some around here but it just isn't to be found much any more.

If quartz is purple then no I don't see any purple. It just looks like lines of white.

Thank you all for the positive comments. I just ordered some driftwood from The Green Machine, since I don't have a car and don't live anywhere near water, I have to do it the expensive way.
Well I was going to show you pics of them, but I guess they are 1 of a kind and the website has already removed them. So I guess that means they are preparing my order. Cool... No idea how long it will take to receive from the UK to Canada... I did receive my glass diffuser from China in 7 business days.

Yes I will post pics as soon I start. I think I will take pictures of the entire process.

Granite is a combination of a few things. Quartz is one of them. I don't recall the others right off, though.

If quartz is purple then no I don't see any purple. It just looks like lines of white.
There is a TYPE of quartz that's purple - that's called amethyst - but quartz crystal is a whitish clear, and quartz rock tends to turn out looking white.

Oh Ok cool, I really have not clue about rocks, but I really do like the look of this rock... Thanks..

Would any one have any ideas on type of aquascapes (pics if possible) that incorporate rocks and driftwood in the same tank, not necessarily together but either in separate parts of the tank or together? Thank you...

Have you tried definiteaquascape.tv?

This guy, I believe from Poland, shoots amazing videos in different expositions. Hours to watch. Sure to find something!

Both my bigger tanks use wood and rock together. When I first set up the tanks I put down the wood the way I want it for caves for the plecos and then use rocks to hold it down. Then I will build offshoots with the rocks for other caves and swim-thrus for the smaller fish.

MercI Monsieur...

The rocks I am going to "TRY" and create an IwagumI style, but want to incorporate 2 pieces of driftwood I will soon be getting from The Green Machine...
