Im a few days away from setting up my first saltwater tank. and when I hooked up my RO filter for the first time the TDS came out as 31. is this too high for soft corals and hardy nano fish?

The ro system is the geekpure ro 3 stage countertop system and the filter is hooked up to a garden hose

hi Chris now I cant tell you anything about salt water setup but if you need to bring your tds lower you can add a DI resin last stage to your unit,

the issue was resolved. I think the water was way too hot and the system was brand new. after fixing both those issues I get 3-7 ppm which is good enough for me

In saltwater 3-7ppm could cause issues with algea. Should be aiming for 0 TDS. With your 3-7 and then mixing salt you will have extra minerals for algea to feed on.

I got the geekpure 100gpd countertop ro system. Im getting about 2-3 ppm and it produces water faster than I thought. so far id recommend it
