well the green mandarin's have always eluded my fish keeping talents as they always seem to out eat my copepod capacity of my tank, but about 4 months ago I was at my fav. LFS and they had one that would eat brine shrimp and I bought him, and daily I made sure to hand feed him. Well last night I saw him sitting up front by the glass gasping for air and he passed away about 45 min. later...... I'll miss you Mandarin, and I think he will be my last time I try them as this is three I've lost :-(

I'm sorry for your lost...

I'm going to try one and maybe you could try another as well in the future. ORA is releasing captive bred ones that eat pellets in the not so far future

I'd love to see it, heck mine ate brine but as mandarin's do he ate very slowly so I always hand fed him to assure he was getting food.....

Thanks all for your support, this is the fish that always made me want to try a Saltwater tank and it seems as though they are the onld fish that I can't keep.
