Petsmart

There's not a single tank with fish not stick to the filter, getting spun around dying, or dead on the bottom. Employees know close to nothing. This place is good for decor and other animals though, and also for tanks

Pretty good. Scoop the dead fish out fairly quickly, good decor selection, and animal fact sheets

Very good place for people to go. Exotic, well taken care of fish like freshwater stingrays, arowana, gar, things like that. Tanks are decorated quite nicely. Not too much decor or tanks to choose from. One employee is even a shrimp breeder.

 

Don't go with Petco or Petsmart. Studies show 75% of fish die during or after shippment. Do a local fish store with fairly good reviews, and such. I sometimes use petco for cheap tanks, supplies and plants. NEVER listen to a petco or petsmart employie before doing your own research because they aren't smart, they are just told to sell.

There are literally no lfs that sell fish in an 50 mile radius of my home. Only Petsmart and Petco.

 

My PetSmart is loaded with ich & carcasses but the Petco is awesome. There's a gal there that always works aquatics and she keeps those tanks spic n span and is super knowledgeable. I'm sure that is the exception though.

 

O man my pet smart has gouramis with guppies , I mean the agreed be kind .

Fin rot. Ich. Velvet. And internal parasites

PLUSS SIDE CHEAP AS CAN BE ORNAMENTS KITS AND TANKS
Hash as much as Walmart on a 40% of deal for the same stuff

Ps goldfish tanks are VERRY CLEAN the rest not so much
