Reverse Osmosis (ro Buddie)

Hello!
I recently set up an RO buddie to help with my hard water- the pH is always reading over 8 on my tanks. I set everything up and from what I've read online the waste water to clean water ratio should be 4:1, however, my system is producing a steady stream of water from the clean line and just drips from the waste water line. I don't have a way to test my water at the moment so I'm not sure that the water is actually clean. I've used it for multiple large water changes in my 20 gallon and the pH has not changed.
Is anyone familiar with RO systems and can maybe tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm also not sure at what pressure the water is going into it, as I just have it hooked up to the kitchen sink. I have a clamp that goes around the nozzle, but if I turn the water on too much the clamp comes off so I only have it on a lower flow setting. Is that not enough pressure to make the system work?
Any help is appreciated!!

I'll add a picture that shows how much water I have coming from the faucet into the system at a time

The only way to be sure is to test lower or 0 nitrates in the water coming out of the unit, or to get a TDS meter. Oh, and the PH will be at or just above 7 if it's working

If it’s coming out of the end it went through the whole system, and therefore would be clean. However, you’re too hung up the pH. My tap has a pH of 8.2 and I keep many different species that like soft acidic water. My water isn’t even that hard. The only fish I use RO for are Rams, specifically because I breed them. But you can’t just use pure RO, it lacks any minerals. If you don’t keep sensitive fish that you breed, or your water isn’t liquid rock, there’s no need for this imo. You need to be checking your TDS/GH/KH, pH is not that important.

Okay, update time.
So I bought a GH KH testing kit, and water from my tap ranges about 250 ppm.
When testing the water coming from my RO unit, the result was unchanged.
Obviously, something is not working right... any ideas for troubleshooting?

Connecting to the tap like that is not going to work you need at least 60 psI for the unit to work correctly. Mine runs at 120psi, 60 psI will probably push the adapter off the tap

Sounds like something is backwards as far as hoses ??
Have you checked the levels on your "waste line '??

Your right something is not right, do you have any shut off valve inline anywhere second did you put the cartridges in the housings yourself

How would I do that??

All the instructions said to do was hook up the lines for the waste to drain, hook up the supply line and put the membrane in. I'm not sure how to check for valves

coralbandit saying to take a sample of the waste water outlet from the ro unit and test that as you did from water produced from the other pipe

The valves are not correct I ment inline taps that may be turned off slightly restricting flow but it looks as if that unit doesn't have any so forget that one,

I've just red your first post again and I think the steady flow is your waste and the drip is your good water so test the drip, I think it's a low pressure problem as you produce 4 times more waste than fresh or pure RO water

Have you tried running the unit vertically to bleed off all the air ?

I can actually now see in the picture that you’re draining the RO water into the sink and collecting the waste water

Edit: nevermind, the waste water line is going into the sink.

UPDATE

I went to the store to find an adapter that screws into my sink rather than one that clamps on so I could increase the PSI at which I run the RO Buddie. I also took the membrane out and put it back in (was wondering if it wasn't sealed properly)

Everything works just fine now!
I think the only issue was that I was not running it with enough pressure.
Thank you all for your help!
