Reticulated hillstream loach tank size

So, I recently became interested in the hillstream loach since I hear they are hardy algae eaters. However, in all my research, I am still confused as to what their tank size should be. Chris from Fish For Thought suggested them for a 10 gallon stocking idea with a powerful water flow, but others say 30, and even 50 gallons. What size should their tank be???

a 20 long should provide a good tank decorated with rocks, high flow and high light.

I don't really consider them as algae eaters.. they have what some people call specialized needs.. more of an aufwuchs eater?
