Greetings friends, finally did my homework, got the kit, tested the water. All within FISHLORE specs. Got 3 blk tetras, 3 wht tetras and 2 mollies. Introduced by the book, not a drop of lfs water in my 40 gallon tank. Sat and observed, videod feeding. They seem as happy as I am.
Now I know how you all feel.
But can't id my pleco. Anyone?

I believe some can reach a foot but that’ll take a while
Out in the wild some can reach a foot but most in aquariums rarely exceed 5 1/4 inches. Your algae eater might attack your fish as he ages due to his diet changing (needing more protein)

Whaat!! It figures, guess that's why he visits the Chinese pagoda a lot....or is it the algae. Hmm!

I haven't seen aggression, but what can I feed him?

Shrimp pellets will do nicely, but be sure not to add too many as to not pollute the water. Once you see him try to latch on to the other fish, that's a warning sign that you'll need to add in some pellets or he'll eat away the fish's slime coat
