I saw him in the back in his half filled cup and his blue shine . I felt so bad for him . He’s got a heater and in a vase right now and his gills were very inflamed but I’ve used antibiotics and he’s improved a lot in color already . I never saw a yellow one with a blue body !

That’s a beauty!

Do you plan on a larger tank?

He's beautiful! The yellow and blue ones I've seen are called blue mustard gas! I want one so much, a plakat, but Mrs. Georgie Girl will not let me have more than one fish as long as they'd require two tanks.

Anyway, your new pal is very special, having been rescued. Thank you for that. Do you have a name for him?

I decided to call him Sunny, because he seems so tropical to me,(lol).
I have one Betta HM in a 2 gallon right now and I’m unsure if I should divide a ten gallon downstairs for both of them or get another separate tank.
I hate to have two Betta tanks to change water, what a dilemma .

Sounds stunning. For me, two tanks. Because if one gets velvet, they both do in a divided tank. Ditto for other parasites, diseases, infections etc. Of course, we all plan to be perfect all the time and never slip up on water changes and stuff. But then life happens and there you are. Just my thing.

So cute! And still looks somewhat healthy. I do divided tanks but well said by Gypsy13 it has its pros and cons.

I’ve got to say, my being blind is a huge part of it. I’d rather deal with taking care of one Sick Betta than two. Oh, and I don’t care what y’all do I am not getting a betta!

Why not? The more (fish) the merrier

You could do a divided ten, but prevent any cross contamination by having a watertight pvc divider, different heaters, filters etc. On each side

*In a room with twenty 10 gallon tanks, divided with 1 betta on each side*

Gypsy13: When did this start?

The day I had 13 bettas was stressful! Fun but lots of work. I spend 2mins on each fish 2-3 times a day inspecting them and their fins.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!
Even if you can't see them they are cute, friendly, colorful, playful and some let you hold them. I have to close my eyes going past them at the pet store or else... OOPS somehow this fish ended up in my cart... Oh well I guess I HAVE to buy it.

Vicky, thank you SO much for rescuing your new finbaby! I love rescues and rescuers even more. Congratulations and whichever setup you decide on will be awesome!

My problem. I’d have to buy every one of them. Especially the sick poorly half dead ones.

I’ve had my fair share. I’m overwhelmed by the crazies I have now. Goldfish too impatient for me to feed them so they jump at me. Greedy guts. Catfish goldfish and bettas. My weakness. (And eels but don’t tell).

He sounds totally gorgeous but is there any way y’all could get him something bigger? And get something for him to rest on? They have the cutest little leaf hammocks or floating logs. Love the color of the glass baubles. My favorite color.
