Rescaped 25 gallon and 5 gallon

bored411

I just rescaped my 25 and my 5 gallon. The 5 gallon once held a betta who passed but will soon have a new one. The 25 gallon was turning green and the water was messy with lots of debris floating around. I wanted to make more swim room for the fish and make it look nicer than it was before (though ignore the big rock on the left side of the 25 gallon. It’s holding down the wood that I thought would be heavy enough to stay sunk). All plants were already in the tank as was the wood (except the one piece in the 25 gallon) and the stone. Just rearranged things and removed extra stone/wood.

Both tanks (along with my 10 gallon and my 5 gallon shrimp bowl) were left alone from June-July while I was out of the country and are still cycled without any ammonia, which was a welcome relief after leaving family to tend to the fish and 0 water changes. They’re doing good though and I’m so happy that I’ve got fully established tanks that require so little effort to keep. It’s nice to see all that hard work showing good results even though I’ve only been fishkeeping for a year. :D

Yep. Always a good feeling when you get to the point where you realize the fish are not going to die if you go a day/week/month-ish without fussing over them!

They look great friend! Maybe now you know you don't need to do a million WCs every week. Boy would that be a relief....
