Rescape

I would consider putting some moss like Christmas moss on the driftwood on the left side. That could make it look like a lush tree. I would also consider changing the second piece of driftwood (the tall one) in some way so that flows better with the scape. I really like that piece but I’ll have to think of a way to make it work

 

The slate sounds like a nice touch! I would definitely add more plants, preferably live but some silk ones that look real would look nice too

 

I’m definitely going to add more plants. I think I’m going to move both pieces of wood toward the center of the tank and swap places. Then move the sword in the center to the back left. I hate moving the swords because I’m almost out of root tabs, but I don’t like where it’s at.

I want to put moss on that piece! I haven’t been able to find any here locally. I will likely purchase some online.

 

I moved the wood to the middle and the amazon sword and barrel cave to the left side of the tank. Put the skull on the right side of the tank with the other amazon sword. I’m liking this better than how I had it before. Now I just need more plants. Lots more plants.

 

Love the skull! Where'd you order the slate from? I really want to add some hardscape like rocks and stones too but I can't make up my mind or figure out what I want to do. I actually would prefer fake rocks because it'd be a lot easier for many reasons, particularly in the future. I can't seem to find anything like that though.

 

I found the slate on eBay. Checked the reviews and people had posted pics of what they got in their tanks. Looked good and only cost me $10 so I figured I would give it a shot. I guess I’ll see if it was worth it when it arrives lol

I did get mine. I made this cave. I haven’t added it to the tank yet.

Will your swords get enough light? From the picture, it seems like they are in the shadows while your driftwood is hogging most available light.

I am going to add another light. I put the wood in the middle to be a sight break for the angels. They are getting more aggressive with each other as they age.

 

Also, this tank gets quite a bit of natural light during the day as I have skylights in this room.

So Jealous! I love the look of natural light coming into a tank. When the angle is just right, it makes my heart skip a beat!

I have 3 BN Plecos who take care of any algae. They had it clean within a week after I got them. I did get the moss.

 

Good job on the rescape, that will be good for the angels. They are so cute!!!

Very nice! I’m so excited, your moss is going to fill in so nicely. Also I like how you used the java fern windelov to blend the driftwood together

 

Well, the moss isn’t going so well because the angels keep pulling it off the wood. They seriously grab it and shake it like a dog with a rope.

 

My angels pick at roots and things like that too! No moss in my tanks haha!
