My leopard lizard (it’s my opinion that they shouldn’t be considered geckos) Snickers! I know their not arboreal, but he likes to climb on his vine anyway.
Geckos are lizards, but not all lizards are geckos Geckos are part of the order “Gekkota,” in which there are over 1,000 species of gecko (separated in to 6 families). Geckos are small reptiles with soft skin, large heads and well developed limbs. They just lack sticky toe pads like other geckos because they’re not aboreal

But why do you think they shouldn’t be considered a gecko?

I don’t know why I’ve never shared pictures of our OG, Big Momma. My boyfriend has had her for a very long time, she was the only reptile in the house for years (and now we have 40...). She’s over 10 years old and she has heterochromia she has two different colored eyes. She also doesn’t have a tail but she hasn’t since my boyfriend got her.

So guys... I said a while ago that I got what was believed to be two female ornate wood turtles...and then they started breeding with one another so I assumed Mavis was a girl and Marvin was a boy... well Mavis showed me her hemipenes last night so Mavis is now a Marco...... and I have a lovely gay couple of turtles.

We just got done building them an outdoor enclosure for the spring and summer but it’s too cold for them to be outside all night yet

My juvenile Leopard Gecko "Cleo the Leo"! She (my best guess on sex at this age) is a Lavender Jungle Mack Snow Leopard.

Spent hours walking up stream in the mountains trying to find wood turtles. Thankfully wading through waist deep, freezing cold water paid off and I spotted this little guy. He was missing both of his front feet! They were likely chewed off as a baby by a fisher or raccoon. He got around like no one’s business though, that’s for sure.

This was my first time finding a North American wood turtle. This stream used to be full of them and now you’re extremely lucky just to come across one... it’s sad because they’re now endangered and still in decline. Please don’t take turtles from the wild. I know how cute and adorable they are, and “it’s just a turtle,” but it’s more than that. This species is absolutely amazing and it would be a shame not to have them around any longer.

Hi guys, I've had this guys tank in the freshwater section a few times looking for some water quality advice and troubleshooting, finally got it all figured out. (Only took me 2+years to find the balance lol)

I introduce to you Lucky the Northwestern Garter Snake. He had a pretty bad spinal kink and was about 6 inches when we found him during spring clean up in the yard. Started him in a 10 gallon with a big baking dish full of water and he never got out off the thing. Maybe swimming is like physical therapy, he's up to about 22" now and the kink hardly slows him down
Pro tip, common garters don't swim as well so don't put them in an aquarium like this guy likes so much.

It's hard to get pictures of him in the water because he moves so fast but he spends about 4 hours a day in there swimming and stirring the water up, grazing on snails and rarely grabbing one of the female endler/guppy mutt females that breed in there now. When he was small though they were his primary food source, and got me into learning how to keep and breed fish. Now I have a fish room and he isn't even interested in eating them as they are too small. I have started enjoying that side of the hobby myself though so I'm cool with it.

My babies have gotten huge since I last posted! I also have added 5 more Leopard Geckos (from the 1 I originally posted). a bearded dragon, and a ball python.

I won't believe you unless you can supply photographic evidence ;).
