They're so cute! Accents and I are trying to convince our parents to let us get a snake, but they feel that we have enough tanks in the house already. Does your snake have a name yet?

My sister name him/her Poppy. She thought it would make it sound less intimidating to friends/family

I wanted to name our theoretical future snake Wobbles, but my sister didn't feel like it sounded dignified enough. Guess I'll just have to get my own snake then, ha.

Beautiful ball python! I love the chubby look they have vs. many of the colubrid species. Congrats on the new snake!

I love your ball python!!

He is pretty, or she, even tho its a plain ol’ regular one. No fancy morph. Also found out he molted during the night so now its even prettier!

I feel like my sister’s crested is around that age too now, he was tiny when we got him. He could climb and hang on to our thumb

Mines at that age but I rarely handle him because he is so jumpy

I heard they got calmer with age.
Squishy is jumpy but not hard to handle he just wants to explore and jumps from hand to hand

Lovely and so vibrant after the shed!

We have two corn snakes; the smaller one we got last summer, and the other we have had a couple years now. We had a tokay gecko of unknown age for 13 years, but she passed last summer so our only reptiles are snakes! I have a bunch of axolotls too...

If I ever got a snake I’d name him Mr. Noodles. Lol. I’ve always wanted a ball python but my mom is not a fan of snakes. Yours is so cute! I do have a leopard gecko, crested gecko, and ACFs, hopefully someday I can add a python to the family!

Reptile familes are the best family!

I have quite the "collection" myself and they're so dang fun to care for.

I like the idea to give your snake a less intimidating name. I always try to take cute pictures of my snakes and arachnids and show them to people. With names I just try to got with something that has to do with the animal's backstory or behavior or something based off of the scientific name. Ex. My tarantula's name is Pandora because she was kept in a tiny box when she was in the pet store's care. With my snakes I had a theme where I named them after religious figures. My first snake was Diablo, the I had Thor, Then Odin. I also had a black kingsnake that I named after Ezekiel from The Walking Dead. Overall I try to make my animal seem cute to my friends and family. Any chance I get where I can take a cute photo, I take it. I also enjoy talking to them like puppies. P.S. tarantulas are great listeners.

Toads!
Asian toads!
I came full circle.. my interrest in reptiles started when I cared for a wild toadlet. Now I'm back with my own toads.

Nice! The toads are my first real amphibians, they are really interresting in their own ways. Do you own these frogs?

I don't right now, but maybe in the future. But it will be awhile because I kind of want a few tomato frogs right now instead. I HAD firebellied toads in the past though. They were pretty fun.
