Replaced Tank - Advice

HI all,

Had to replace my tank today due to the other one having a crack in it.

The only one I could get quickly & locally was a 74 litre - 20 litres bigger than before.

I removed everything, set the new one up and replaced everything (running the old & new filter at the moment).

Any advice on what to keep an eye out for? The fish seem very hyper and there are lots of bubbles in the tank (see picture) I’ve also turned the light off and not fed them tonight.

Treated the water with tap safe conditioner, the water is a mix of fresh and stuff from the original tank.

Any advice on potential problems / what to look out for welcome.

Thanks

Should be fine. Keep an eye on parameters just in case this has somehow affected your cycle. The fish are probably just curious about the new tank and happy with the extra space.

I would add an airstone if possible. Fish may become stressed in a new environment and extra oxygen/surface movement will always help. Other than that, as long as you used old, cycled media, everything should be fine. Check your parameters pretty regularly.

Good looking tank.

One thing to look out for is the filter. If your filter is only rated to the previous tank and your using the same filter you need to make sure your filter will be able to hold the tank bio load...

I have a new filter rated for the new tank and running along side it is the old filter, rated for the smaller tank. Advised this would help bacteria. Thanks
