Removing pearl gourami eggs

So my male pearl gourami has started building a bubble nest in my 90 litre aquarium tank. I also have a female pearl gourami in there with him and she follows him around all the time so I'm certain I will see some breeding soon as she is full of eggs. Thus I have a question. Am I able to net out the eggs after she lays them and he fertilises them and put them in a grow out tank? Would the eggs even hatch under those conditions? Or does the male have to stay with them until they hatch. I'm just afraid he will attack the female or my Mollies and if I remove him they will certainly eat the eggs and or fry, so I thought removing the eggs would be my best bet. Anyone done this before with gouramis or Betts fish? If I do remove them do I need to put them in an egg tumbler or just throw them onto a tank with a sponge filter?

Eggs have to stay floating which is why the male tends them and keeps the bubble nest intact.
If you want to see any fry remove male and female before they spawn and then just leave male with eggs for 1 week or so.
You will not in my experience be able to move the eggs or fry early on.

What if I put them in my bbs hatching cone? They would stay suspended that way. So you're saying I need a breeding tank to put them in seperatly?

I am sorry it was a crazy night. I do have a photo.

Yes to raise the fry and keep them from being eaten you need a tank to separate them.
A cover also as labyrinth fish have a delicate time up to 2-3 weeks I believe when they are developing.
The eggs don't need to be bubbled they need to float and are not buoyant, that is why the fish builds the bubble nest.
The tank should only have like 6 inches of water to start so the fry do not drown and should have plenty of infusoria growth to help you feed these incredibly small fry. They are usually I believe too small for even live baby brine shrimp.
Maybe vinegar eels or micro worms for feeding.I am not 100% sure on that but they need incredibly small food.

Pearl Gourami eggs are naturally bouyant, so removing them is possible. However, I would not use a net to do that, I would dip the nest out with a bowl or other container. Their close relative, the Three-spot Gouram, often scatters eggs all over the surface without even building a real nest.

One of the major differences between the subfamilies in Osphronemidae is that the one containing most of the common Gouramis all have buoyant eggs, whereas the one containing Bettas and Paradisefish have eggs that will sink. Most of the mouthbrooding species are in the subfamily Macropodusinae with Bettas, as buoyant eggs would not work for mouthbrooding.

Love learning.
Thanks for the correction.
Bad memory here as I bred pearls, gold and blues way back.
