Reliable Aquabid Sellers

Many of you have not seen me for a while, and Posiedon has now died. (see in memorials.) Now I want to get a halfmoon, and my petsmart( I know.. I don't like the place either, yet I don't have anywhere else) only has blue and red veiltails. Another store I know, has sometimes crowntails, but only blue and red. So I am thinking of aquabid but I haven't bought from aquabid and I don't know any good reliable sellers(?). my mom and dad have bought from ebay, but I have a feeling this will be different because of express shipping and maybe even packaging cost etc (?). If you could help me it would be great.

It's possible to see a seller's feedback rating on their page, that should help you figure out whether or not to buy from them.

The page also lets you ask the seller a question. They're usually good about responding, and if you have questions about shipping, etc. they'll be happy to give you an answer.

Many sellers on AquaBid have no problems.

I wouldn't order anything that has any lower then 95% good feedback.

 

Martinismommy sells HM bettas that are some of the best in the country. She used to be a very active member on here. If you see her fish for sale - they're quality.

 

Does anyone know of a good, reliable seller on aquabid that has bettas?

 

I ordered from Nicebettas and she is AWESOME! I only had a DOA because of problems with the transhipper, but my male arrived in PERFECT condition. All her bettas are really nice. Heres my guy.

Are you looking to import, or buy from breeders within the country? If you're looking for in-country sales, they are rare on AB bettas but I can refer you to some breeders that are actually in Cali, you might just be able to go pick up a gorgeous fish. If you want to import, my favorite sellers are 3D Betta, Aquastar71, GriyaBetta and 1960.

People to avoid in my experience are BanleangBettas (while he has beautiful fish, he does not always send you the fish pictured in his sale ads) and there's one guy who sells a lot of CTs, I can't remember his name but it begins with a B. His fish are known to carry mycobacterium and have infected several US breeder's barracks. Grr I wish I could remember his name.

 

chard56 is one of the best in the world. hes ranked around #10 if I recall correctly and hes cheap and in america so no trans shipper

Oooh, could you please list the breeders in Cali? I live in OR, but that wouldn't be a very long flight for the bettas. Maybe could even get them shipped ground...

 

Karen Mac Auley is very possibly the most respected breeder in the US. She's also very busy, but a really nice lady. She breeds amazing fish and places well in shows all the time.

Haha it just occurred to me, the best way for you to get in touch with them is to join the following FB groups: California Betta Society and Golden State Bettas. All of the west coast breeders are members of those groups.

As a side note, lollipopkiller, those fish are cheap for a reason. It is not because he is ranked #10 in the world.

 

junebug I know I'm just saying he is a reliable seller. there's a reason why hes selling those fish instead of showing them... which is what normal breeders do. I'm just saying if you look at his award winners they are beautiful!
