Rehoming an old fish even possible?

I have currently 3 7-year-old goldfish. At this point in time, I don't know If can care for one of them. In past threads I explained that they bear scars from the past and are sick with stuff I've time and time again tried to cure. One of them is basically blind and was withering away with the others so I separated them. Recently I've noticed air bubbles that will eventually leak in his individual tank at the bottom of the tank. The maintenance is stressful and honestly, I've wanted to step back from my goldfish maintenance, but I'm the only one who knows how to care for the fish and have been trying my best. Maybe it's selfish, but the tank has caused me so much stress. I don't know if anyone will take him, but I need to focus on school. I don't if I can keep sacrificing for my fish. I don't seek validation just other opinions on the matter. Thanks.

 

Know anyone local that might ha e a pond or big tank? Or even possibly an LFS?

 

Yeah, I'll try that. I live in Nashville and I know of one LFS in the area. I don't think we have any organized community of hobbyists to reach out to either. It's a good LFS in my area, but like I said above the fish would probably need some special care as it is pretty blind.

Never know. Some people love to take on special needs fish like that. Always worth trying.

 

Thanks for the hope. I know that sometimes we have to make sacrifices, but the stress got too much this time.
