So the water hardness in my tank (and also the tap water here) is 180ppm for general hardness and 120 for carbonate hardness, according to the API test strips. The pH looks to be exactly 7.

My fish seem to be doing alright, but I was wondering if there was anyway to lower the hardness without using chemicals?

    Thanks.

Honestly, I used to have this problem in my freshwater tank. I kept trying to change water and do crazy stuff to get the hardness down and it ended up hurting the fish. Don't chase numbers, instead just shoot for stability in your tank. Using natural spring water or RO water in your water changes could help, but don't do it to sudden as it might shock the fish. Slowly introduce it.
