Redoing Tank - changing from HOB filter to a better filter

Hello all! I have a 29 gallon tank and wanting to change from HOB filters to something better. So why I’m hear is to get some help. I found filters with a uv light built in but I’m not sure about size and how it works. Most of my fish are Cory’s , Dojo’s and loaches. I’m here waiting for all your wonderful help thank you

I’m not sure but I think it’s uncommon for smaller tanks like a 29 to use anything other than hob or in-tank filters. Doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work though! I imagine you could even put a sump in if you really wanted to.

I think a Fluval 206-306 would keep your tank looking amazing. Be sure to keep your HOB running on the tank for a good month or so or even forever.

Ok thanks I’ll check it out. I have 2 HOB running right now. I have a mild algae problem that’s why I’m interested in the up sterlizer being in the other filters I’ve seen on eBay. I do know I don’t want a bunch of current in my tank. I’ll figure it out. With help
