Red Tail Catfish Missing?

I bought a rtc yesterday and it was only around 5cm. I kept it in a 750 gallon with many other fishes that wouldnt really harm the catfish. I also had 2 big paroon sharks which are about almost 1 feet. The shop keeper told me theyd do fine but I can't really find the catfish eventhough I didnt search thorougly. I picked up a few pipes(not out of water tho) but still couldnt find it? Would thhe shark eat it?

I mean in such a large tank I think it is perfectly normal to "lose" a fish of that size....I would have put him in a grow out tank first
