55 Gallon Tank Red spots on orandas, what could it be?

Hi, we have 2 Orandas and they’ve both developed red pimple like spots on them. I have no idea what they are. We’re new to goldfish? Any ideas?

Nitrates: 20
Temp: 74

They’re happy. Eating fine. Swimming fine. Just have those pimples. They look 2D in the pictures, but they’re definitely protruding. One had a little string coming out of it, but doesn’t look like the anchor worms I see on Google. It’s very thin, short, and white. Doesn’t branch out and just doesn’t look like a worm.

Tank
What is the water volume of the tank? 55g
How long has the tank been running? 1.5 weeks
Does it have a filter? 2 - 70g + 40g
Does it have a heater? Yes
What is the water temperature? 73-75 degrees
What is the entire stocking of this tank? 2 orandas (Please list all fish and inverts.)

Maintenance
How often do you change the water? Currently, whenever nitrates go above 40 ppm, whenever ammonia/nitrites go above 4ppm combined (they haven’t, highest ammonia has gone is 1ppm)
How much of the water do you change? 30-50% depending on nitrates
What do you use to treat your water? Seachem Prime, StressCoat, Flourish
Do you vacuum the substrate or just the water? Both

Did you cycle your tank before adding fish? No, but did add safestart plus to kick off cycle
What do you use to test the water? API Freshwater Kit
What are your parameters? We need to know the exact numbers, not just “fine” or “safe”.

Illness & Symptoms
How long have you had this fish? 1.5 weeks
How long ago did you first notice these symptoms? 3 days ago
In a few words, can you explain the symptoms? Red pimple/ulcer spots. More pimples thought because they’re raised spots vs. flat.
Have you started any treatment for the illness? No - just changing water
Was your fish physically ill or injured upon purchase? Not that we noticed. One fish was missing part of their tail fin
How has its behavior and appearance changed, if at all? No. They’re very energetic, hungry, and curious

since they are new, you should do a qt treatment with PraziPro (parasites) for about 2 weeks.

most goldfish are bred and raised in outdoor ponds, many have parasites.

i would also reduce feeding to twice per day until you're finished cycling.

UPDATE: the red spots were anchor worms! We’re treating with Microbe-Lift Lice and Anchorworms and also pulling with tweezers whenever they’re apparent enough.

Added salt to aquarium and also added a dose of paraguard.
