Red moss for a underwater bonsai - ideas?

Hows it going yall, first post!

I just got interested in aqua scaping recently as I bought a Reverse Osmosis set up for some plants Im growing and it was an easy transition to just start filling up a tank.

I am trying to recreate what would look somewhat like a Japanese maple bonsai with the red leaves.

The only red moss I have been able to find online was from a Chinese seller, and it looks like a highly photoshopped mossimo ball.

Is there any common and not ludicrously expensive options for moss or another red plant that would work suspended in a driftwood bonsai? Is it safe to use the preserved dyed variety?

Thanks! _DCP
