    Hi Everyone,
    I noticed a red mark on the tip of my FireMouth Cichlids tail. He is currently recovering from a tail injury and is in a 135 gallon with my SDs and a Sev.

    The water parameters are 0.25ppm 0.00pm and 10ppm also, I recently conducted my weekly water change today.

    Is this Mark a bacterial infection or is this just part of his natural coloration?

    @CindiL @TexasDomer @Anders247 @chromedome52 @tyguy7760 , do you guys have any ideas?

    Thanks in Advance!

    He's well chewed up, but I see no wound. I can't tell.

    There's like a Red mark on the part of his tail, I'll post a clearer picture if that helps.

    I wouldn't worry about it, it should grow back.

    He didn't have the red mark a few days ago, and he recently got it yesterday.
    There ar no single of nipping in my tank, perhaps it's just a minor injury?

    It may be a result of your ammonia reading.

    My ammonia is 0.25 ppm. Even if my ammonia is high, is there a way to remove th red mark?

    It will go away once you get your parameters fixed.
