Red Lump On Albino Cory

One of the albino corys I bred and raised has a red ball on its back - does anyone know what it is? It is acting and eating normally. It formed sometime in the last couple of days. None of the other 14 corys in the tank have it.

75 g with two aquaclear 110s and sponge filters. Planted tank with sand. It is probably overstocked because I also have a bushy nose pleco, 11 praecox and 9 yellow fork tail rainbow fish. Ammonia and nitrites are always zero and nitrates don’t go above 40. They get a varied diet of different pellets.

Mmmm strange thing is it is exact in the place where C.aeneus sonetimes show a white / whitish secretion from a gland just behind the dorsal. Tha is innocent and goes away on its own.

Looks as if this is from the same gland, but don't get the color. What do you feed ?

One of my bronze corys did have the fatter tumor you’re talking about. I was thinking this guy has something similar but it is a different shape and off center. I’m feeding the same foods as I did when my other guy had the fatter tumor - I rotate between wardley shrimp pellets, bug bites for bottom feeders, hikarI sinking wafers, aqueon shrimp pellets and API shrimp pellets.

Yes. Eating and swimming around as always.
