Red Claw Crab Feeding Help

Is there a cleaner way to feed red claw crabs? Ours keep hiding their left over sinking shrimp pellets and it is causing the water to foul and stink horribly! We don't find them until they start growing fuzz in the water. We've tried cutting down on how much we feed them at on time but they still do it. Had to do a complete tank change last night because the water was horrible! (Tank is just starting its 5th week of cycling with API Quick Start and Prime added at each water change; usually do water changes every 5th to 7th day at about 25 - 30%.) I'm waiting to test the water parameters until it hits the 24 hour mark since I've read that Prime can cause false/inaccurate ammonia results before then. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

10 gallon tank, half land/half water (2 gallons in the tank)
4 crabs - 3 female, 1 male

*There are usually a lot more hides and (fake) plants but I didn't put them back last night because I am going to be changing them over to a 29/30 gallon long tank later today. Will also be adding a sponge filter, depending on how much water I add to the new set up.

Heh. Had that problem. Mine eats like a pig... I know bloodworms is a staple for her so then if she misses any they don't turn fuzzy like the pellets. But she is constantly moving around and forging for food.

So then how did you solve it? Are you saying you only use bloodworms now for her protein source?

There's never been anything left over. Today was actually the first time I tried a shrimp pellet and she scarfed it .I give her lettuce as well but that doesn't rot like the shrimp pellets .

I just fed them, put the pellets and a bit of water in a little tiny cup nestled in the slope of the gravel. We'll see how that does.

I've thought of doing something similar but she eats everything...
