Recommended Fert 4 my plants

So I just bought

Mayaca fluviatilis, Stream Bogmoss
Bacopa caroliniana, Lemon Bacopa
Micranthemum umbrosum, Baby Tears
Eleocharis parvula, Dwarf Hairgrass

From aquabid and I was wondering what is the best or recommended type of Fert. that I can buy for these plants? I also have java moss in my tank already but hoping once it comes to add eco-complete with my PFS and these plants.

So what's the recommended Fert for these 4 plants?

Would Getting Seachem Flourish and Seachem Flourish Trash be 2 good Ferts for the plants? And would getting these 2 affect my shrimps in any way if I use the recommended dosage on the bottles.

I would go with the Seachem range personally. Both Flourish Comprehensive & Flourish Root Tabs. The Tabs for the Dwarf Hairgrass & the Comprehensive for the rest.

Note that there are a few high light requirement plants in there so you will need pretty intense lighting & you will need to be running some kind of co2 system so the plants can use the available light & ferts as well as to help avoid algae issues.

Cool. That's plenty of light & maybe your Hagen system will work. I'm not a fan of the Hagen co2 system. I've read many accounts on Fishlore of people trying them & then scraping them due to poor performance. If it doesn't do the job for you, switch to a DIY co2 sytem. The DIY co2 rig will outperform the Hagen unit any day.

With a high light set up it might pay to find some dry potassium (K2SO4) to dose & maybe get some Flourish Trace. In high light with co2 not being limited most aquarium plants use lots of potassium & it can often end up being the limiting factor to plant growth, which will cause algae blooms. Same with the trace elements. When growing rapidly plants it's surprising just how much of these trace elements will use. Dosing every 2-3 days with Flourish Trace is often very beneficial in a high light tank.

Good luck & be sure to share some photos of your tank & fish.

Would I be able to use the Hagen Co2 system while putting in my own amounts of yeast, baking soda, and sugar?? Or do I need to make one myself? I keep reading people using the soda bottles and stuff.

And for my Hagen co2 system there seems to be like funky colored spots growing in the tubing itself. I'm not sure what that is.....Is that like bacteria or what is it? I replaced the tubing and it seems that the other tubing is doing the same thing.

Yes you can make your own yeast mix to use in the Hagen co2 system. They are exactly the same as a DIY rig made with soda bottles, they just have a smaller capacity & look fancier. People that have made their own mixtures for the Hagen system have reported that they work better but still not up to the standard of the 2lt soda bottle systems. You can still get them to function acceptably though so just see what you can do with it.

The growth is on the outside of the airline & is whitish? If it is then it is perfectly normal & won't cause your fish any harm. It just looks nasty. You can wipe it off every few weeks if it really bothers you. If it is something inside the airline, then I highly recommend you make a DIY bubble counter/sump out of a small soda bottle. Make it exactly the same way you would a 2lt soda bottle yeast generator except you need to run two lines into the lid. One of the lines is cut off just below the lid & runs to the tank/diffuser. The other line runs from the yeast generator to the bubble counter & will extend all the way to the bottom of the bubble counter bottle. The bubble counter bottle gets half filled with water once completed. CO2 will travel from the generator into the bubble counter & bubble out of the line that runs to the bottom of the bubble counter bottle & is under water. The gas will then fill the empty space in the bubble counter bottle & travel along the airline from the top into the diffuser/tank. Use check valves either side of the bubble counter to make it easy to disconnect the yeast generator to make a new mix & to change the water in the bubble counter. Now you can accurately monitor the co2 being produced & the bubble counter doubles as a collection point for residue that runs through the co2 lines.

Heres a picture of it. I had one tubing that had a whole mess of it then I replaced it. Here is the other tubing after 2 weeks from the other Hagen.

If u look in between the Hagen Ladder you can see it. I'm not sure what that is.....

is there a website that you can also recommend that has all these DIY Co2 that I can purchase. Or if possible can you give me an exact list of what I will need.

Pretty much I have a 29 gallon and a 20 gallon that I will be planting when my plants arrive.

My Eco-Complete is already in there, along with the lighting that I listed. So I would assume I will need 2 of the 2 litter bottles (One for each tank) , check value, and defuser... is there anything else i'm missing?
