I'm looking into doing a themed aquascape that I want to keep very dark in color. I'm thinking red plants and dark green plants. I know there is red ludwigia.

Any recommendations on others that aren't too hard to maintain? I have hard water with a high PH.

    Thanks!

Dwarf lillies arent the deepest red but still a very nice contrast and probably the easiest red plant to keep I've ever had. It'll go through cycles of rapid growth and die back. Best thing is that bulbs are usually only 2 or 3 bucks for a plant that can grow a few inches a day during growth spurts.

I have nothing but good things to say about ludwigia red hybrid. The entire plant is at least an orangey- red even in low light, and a deep red at the top near the light. I got mine from Han aquatics, so far easy to keep with decent lighting and good ferts, no CO2 :)
