Just chiming in on clown pleco, I haven't seen mine in months. If I do want to see him I have to press my face against the tank and hold my mouth just right so I can see him under the edge of the single piece of driftwood in the tank. Other species may come out more than clowns. He is pretty though lol.

The only two I see is my common pleco and the golden nugget, the others, forget about it. Sometimes I wonder if there alive. I do see them when I do water changes but there usually sucked onto a piece of wood

My BN is always out and about. Yes sucked to a piece of driftwood.

I have to disagree what is being said about clown plecos. Mine comes out during feeding time and cuddles with my BN. He’s not quite as active as my BN but I see him everyday. The more hiding spaces you have, the more you will see them.

I must say, my clown pleco is much more active in a 45g than in a 29g. It really depends on how big your tank is.

Of course I post this and see him on the back glass when checking on things before the light went out. Its like he knew I was trash talking about him.

I'm a fan of Mustards.
Also a fan of:
Queen arabesque
flash
L134
Sultans
Do any ancistrus get big? I though they all stayed small.
So ancistrus:
Starlights, BN of every color and fin length, claro, medusa, Honeycomb, red head spot, green/gold from peru (dream fish), etc
I want to get me some L397s. Maybe in the spring.
I have never owned Angelicus.
Para plecos are good looking.
Chocolate Zebra? L129.
I'd like to get Blue Panaque but have never seen them at the LFS. With the photoshops I have seen I'd want to see them in person.
King Tigers are good looking but I'd prefer the queen arabesque for that look.

Ancistrus temminckii are a personal favorite for sm plecos. They are quite rare so best of luck finding one but if you can they are awesome.
