Recommendation for very quiet air pump, 125g tank

I am planning for a planted 125g tank to be filtered by two foam filters, need a 'very quiet' air pump to drive those filters and provide air to couple more aerator stones. I don't mind to use multiple pumps as it will also serve as backup incase of failure. The tank will be in bedroom and fairly close to ears :)

Any recommendations? Thanks

I'm using a Pawfly HD608, 4 outlet rated up to 200 gallons. I bought it on Amazon a year ago. Very quiet, strong airflow. I've use for 2 airstones and 2 filters for over a year now. No problems.

I love my Eheim air pumps, they are the quietest pump in comparison to Tetra Whisper and TopFin pumps.

Whatever brand you buy, it can be made quieter by placing it on foam cushioning. For the Pawfly, I use 2 regular size foam scrubbers to place it on. It further reduces any vibration.

What does the noise rating in dB mean? Is a higher or lower number quieter?

Decibels. a lower number is technically quieter, but everything’s dependent on if it’s in our hearing range or not. Big Brown Bats produce a call that’s 110 decibels, about as loud as a fire alarm, but it’s not in our hearing range.

Lower dB decibels is quieter, higher decibels are louder.

Thank you, lol. I like the bats analogy, it made me smile.
