Recommendation air pump

I have 10 tanks and feel I have tubing all over the place bc of different air pump hook ups. I need to get another pump for my new 2o gallon any suggestions. How do I figure out how much one pump can handle meaning how many sponge filters I can hook up to it Thanks

Well, air pumps are more related to the depth of the water than than anything, so 1 small pump could in theory handle several very shallow air stones, while a more portly pump could be able to handle the same amount, but much deeper into the water. Ones with more valves would be able to handle a larger amount of course, but again it depends on the depth on the tubes in the tanks.
You can use a series of gang and check valves and splitters to combine the force of all of your pumps into a single line that connects to every tank too. That would greatly reduce the mess of tubing. I'm a strong advocate of the get what you pay for concept, so a $40 air pump will perform substantially better than a $20 one.
I like fluval pretty well.

I just like these guys at Aquarium Co-Op but they sell some of those USB ones as well: USB Nano Air Pump lots of people swear by the ones they sell.

With ten tanks it might be time to get a single big pump . From memory a single sponge filter or any device uses a bit less than 2 litres of air per minute. ( seems like a lot ?) meaning a 30 litre per minute pump will do 14 ish filters no problem.
