Don't know if anyone will have any ideas on this one...

I have a bunch of RCS in an Eheim Aquastyle 9 gallon Nano tank. Several are berried (yay!) and I'm wondering if I need to cover the filter intake area. It's several inches up from the bottom of the tank and I don't think terribly strong in terms of suction. This is my first experience with breeding shrimp.

Anyone else keeping/breeding shrimp in an Eheim Aquastyle?

    Thanks.

Cover it for sure! I caught a day old blue shrimplets today with the turkey baster fishing out snails. The babies are so tiny theyget sucked up if they get within inches of the intake. I use a simple intake cover on the shrimp tank with a hob, and my other is on sponge filters. You could fit foam over the intake and use fishing line to secure it
