Rare Bettas?

Hello, can you name some rare Bettas? Price under $200 though. Thanks!

 

Macrostoma, Mahachiensis + Imbellis are ones that seem to be rare wild types, yet more common and probably cheaper.
Or did you mean like color and tail types?

 

Not sure if they're really rare anymore, but Betta Albimarginata is gorgeous while breeding.

 

Any wild betta is going to be rare as they're hard to find. It also depends on the breeder. Some breeders have been working on specific lines for a long time which would make them rare. Some tail types I would consider to be rare are rosetails, feathertails, or king crowntails. Some colouration types I would consider to be rare are nemo, melano, super yellow, or gold.

 

There's actually a betta that costs around $10,000!!! But yes, any wild betta is going to be hard to find.

I was looking on the website and I am interested in the Parosphromenus fish that is on there. I will look into them!

Difficult to breed or care? I've also got a pair of Betta imbellis. Funny how my lfs sold them as Betta simplex.

 

Both. They require very low ph, 4.5, lower for breeding. So far I’m not set up to breed, may not be for a few more months. Mine only eat live foods and since they cross breed the two types are in different tanks
