Hi, a snail appeared in my tank today and I’m not sure how. The only new addition to this tank is some java moss about a month ago. I’ve attached a photo hoping it can be identified and if it’s ok to leave in the tank with guppies and tetras.
Looks like a pond snail. Probably from the java moss. There may be many more of them, they're known for being pests. It's probably ok to leave in the tank health-wise for your fish, but it may have lots of babies.

Yep, like Madchild57 said. It's either a pond or bladder snail, but seems to resemble a bladder more so to me. He most likely did arrive in the java moss. Completely harmless to your fish and plants, but if you overfeed or have any algae then they'll begin to reproduce rapidly. I found one in my tank after adding some plants and that one quite quickly became hundreds. I now have a group of assassin snails to help keep the population under control.
