Random Platy Babies??

So around February/March I got two new female platies.
After getting them I then had 3 females platies and 3 male guppies, no male platies.

A few weeks ago, I found a random what I imagine was a newborn platy that looked like one of my newer adult platies- I was aware of the fact that they could have come pregnant/have been holding on to sperm so one getting pregnant wouldn't have been a huge surprise.

Except neither of the new platies appear pregnant in the slightest- and it was only one baby? Anyway I got a breeder net to keep it safe and just stopped thinking about it, but a few days ago I found another newborn platy in the tank that looks like the other new platy I have- still none of them look pregnant, and it was only one. It was much smaller than the first one at this point so I just put it in the breeder net.

Now I am getting one new baby platy every 2ish days and I'm up to 4 total as far as I'm aware, and they look like each of the new platies. They still don't appear pregnant at all, and have not been acting stressed in any way. I don't completely understand why this is happening? Help?

The fry probably hid somewhere and are coming out looking for food or something when you happen to see them. We sometimes have fry for almost a month before we find them!

There's really not many places to hide in my tank, it's only a 10 gallon and there's only 2 notable hiding spots that they can really hide in and even still you can see pretty well- also they are all slightly different sizes (especially the first one from a few weeks ago) which makes me think they are coming out at different times?

It is possible. Not quite like mine where 4 females are constantly pregnant so we start the cycle all over again every 4-6 weeks it seems

Update: Found another baby just a bit ago, all the adults still seem super normal and I am up to 5 babies (one is much larger than the others, one is sort of in-between in size, and the other 3 are smaller) still not sure how it's happening? I thought female platys got quite pregnant and released lots of babies at once or in a few days tops?
