Ram Pairing problems

Hello all, I am having a bit of an issue with my Gold Veiltail Rams. I have a male and a female, both at the rightful age to do the do. Theyve been in my 36g for about a month now. They are housed with 6 Zebra Danios, 3 Yoyo Loaches and 6 Otocinclus. I got the Zebras as dither fish because my Male ram chases around my female and she swims away. She doesn't seem to be awfully stressed and doesn't refuse to eat, but she does stay closer to the back when the male is in the front. (I have a tall cave decoration system in the back) My male doesn't go after any of the other fish and only seems to go after the female. I have many driftwood on rocks to create hiding spaces and plants for cover as well, so I am not too worried. I just wanted them to be a pair. And don't understand why he's so antI against her. My other fish go about their day as normal with no problems.

Tank is a 36 Gallon Bowfront w/ Heater
Filter is a Fluval 50 HOB
Temp is at 78°F
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: ~5
PH: 7.8, I hate my water.

Tank has been established for 7 months.

Anything helps!

Turn up the temp.
Rams do their best over 80f, like over 82f ..
The yoyos will eat the eggs before you ever see them IMO..
If you want them to breed get rid of other fish in tank ..
I have never had dither fish work for me with any dwarf cichlid ?? Maybe just me but pairs do the do on the regular for me ..

I don't necessarily want then to spawn and actually breed them, I just want them to like eachother. I will keep your advice in mind and up the temp, thanks!

Yeah, I tried to balance out the zebra temps with theirs and came to a 78° conclusion. I'm not too worried about my Zebras so I will up the temp. Thanks!

The zebra danios won't appreciate the warm water rams need. I'd rehome. Even 78 is on the high side. Rummynose tetras would do great in their place. Turn the temp up to 82. Rams should pair up eventually on their own ime as long as there's a male and female, not all will get along though.
