    Hi Guys,

I have a 29 gallon tank, cycled, with 6 buenos aires tetras, 6 cherry barbs, 2 yellow rainbowfish, and one bristlenose pleco. I got one male and one female rainbowfish about 1 month ago. The male has been thriving ever since. The female I took home originally didn't seem to acclimate very well so I brought her back to the store and traded her in for a new one. On the first one, I noticed a "white string" hanging from the mouth of the female, and I notice the same thing on the second. It doesn't remind me of cottonmouth, and I wonder what it is.

All of my params look normal. None of the other fish have anything. The female is acting normal, I just see this white string. Picture is attached.
