Rainbow Shark Red Tail Shark

HI all.
This is the tank at my office approximately 40x12x24 in size.
It has a
goldfish,
2 blue gouramis
2 lil orange fishy (similar to guppies maybe)
2 golden/yellow with a black spot fishy
1 red tail shark
1 rainbow shark.

The thing is red tail shark is like a king that rules everywhere. It does not bother any fish, nor does it chase the rainbow all time.
But the rainbow mostly spends his time on the top right side of the tank. Sometimes vertical , sometimes vertically face down, but rarely goes anywhere else.

Is something wrong with his swim bladder or do I need to suggest anything like adding some cave like struts in there to increase hiding places.
Please help. They are not mine to take care but I want them fiahy to be happy.

The Rainbow Shark has probably been beaten into submission by the Red-tailed Shark.

Both these fish should have a retreat, but I'm not sure if it would completely cure their territoriality.

I thought only one individual shark was recommended per tank.

I've always read that sharks don't like other sharks, including mates.

Maybe the guy who put them together does not know it. I will talk to him and see of I can help em a bit.
Wish me luck

Separate them asap...that rainbow would be stressed to the max and probably prone to disease/infection if you are not careful, worst case, it could be harassed to death.

As already mentioned, keeping 2 sharks is not likely to work out, they hate conspecifics and similar looking species. In HUGE, very densely scaped/planted tanks, its possible to keep multiple, but there will always be a dominant shark. I would rehome the rainbow as soon as you can.

Yipppieeeee... Made a lil rearrangement and both redtail and rainbow seems to be a lil cooperative and at peace. Now that looks like happy peacefull fish.
