Please use this topic to post your Rainbow Fish photos. I'll leave it stickied so it appears at the top of the posts.

Thanks,
Mike

Please post your photos as attachments, rather than links.

While your compliments on the photos are really appreciated, text-only posts will be removed after a while to keep the gallery pictures-only. If there is a discussion you do not want to loose, please start it again in a separate thread.

Wow, great pics people.

small Boeseman's.JPG

My 6 year old male Boeseman's Rainbow raised by me, now 5.5 inches. Lives in 90 gallon 6 foot aquarium with 3 females with which he mates every morning.

Photo taken with small digital Sony DSCW50 with sunlight on the subject.

My Boeseman's in their home (don't worry about the algae, it's being taken care of by my Bristlenoses!)

Some pics of my BoesemanI Rainbows, considering they were from Petsmart and indistinguishable from the Australians Petsmart was also selling I think they coloured up nicely (same goes for the Harlequin Rasboras which were silver and black when I got them).

In order..Red Irian, Turquoise, Boesemanni, MarcI and Emerald and the whole gang!! I just bought a Praecox Rainbow....he is a TOUGH one to get a picture of. I have not had much success with them..so we'll see how well he does. My Buenos Aries tetras seem to dislike him.

. They are starting to get a lot of color!

Gorgeous fish! Excellent pictures! It's hard to get them to hold still to get a decent shot!
I was thinking about gettng a new dslr (had a D5100) and while it was great for outdoors, it wasn't very good for indoor or for fish. I upgraded to a D7500 and a new 16-80mm lens but the 35mm lens works better for fish.
