Rainbow Fish Flaring Question

    Guys i have a pair of dwarf neon rainbow fish in my tank both are males i just saw some unsual flaring such that their fins and tails protuded like that of a male betta should i split them up

    As long as they don't appear to be pineconing It sounds like it could be mating or breeding behavior. Pics?

    Well they are males never did i keep them with females plus the it looks like it opens it mouth thenn its two fins on top and bottom are wide spread

    If your positive they are all males then they could be establishing their pecking order. Wait for others to chime in with more knowledge on rainbows
