I work at a pet store with 3 lines of stacked tanks. I was wondering about putting something on the acrylic to repel the water. My question is will it hurt the fish if water drips in the tank after applying the sealant? fish-tanks-pet-supermarket-brentwood-tn.png

I would advise against Rain-X for aquarium use. I actually have a bottle in front of me.
It says:
Important;Do not use on plastics unless pre-approved by the manufacturer of the plastic to be treated. It also contains denatured alcohol which is ethanol that has additives to make it undrinkable (poisonous, extremely bad tasting, foul smelling or nauseating.

I wouldn't risk it.

I called the district manager and he said put wax on the tank. I don't think I will touch them with anything.
