I have a 3 1/2 week old 10 gallon tank. I have 1 Ludwigia plant and 1 Radican Sword plant.

My issue is my Sword looked great when I first put it in the tank 2 1/2 weeks ago, but now has many brown spots.

Any thoughts/suggestions on what might be happening and how to fix it?

Sounds like either an iron or a potassium deficeny. Swords have very high nutrient demands & it is possible that the sword has used up all of the available nutrients to it in such a small tank. It is also possible that the plant was originally grown emersed & that the leaves will all die back to be replaced by new growth in the submerged for. Do you use any fertilisers & if so how much of what fertiliser are you useing? Also how much of what sort of light do you have over the tank?

    Excellent advice!
Radican Swords really need a nutrient rich substrate. Putting plant tabs into the substrate where the roots can find it may help. They also get huge :)
