After being in this hobby for a while now, I've noticed some things. Do your friends and family tease you for being an aquarist? It's not like bullying, just teasing. Yesterday I found a Fluval Spec V for 5 bucks, everything included. Right now we have two bettas in a 2.5 gallon. I told my mom that 2.5 gallons wasn't enough, and that we should upgrade. She ignored the idea and told me that they're "just fish" and that they'll be fine - one of them has moderate to severe fin and tail rot by the way. And when I find something to save up for in this hobby (I'm only 14) my family tells me they don't need it, because they definitely know more than me. Do you guys get people like that a lot, because I do...

Not at all, everyone around me really likes the tanks and pond, especially since it pays for it self

I used to get it quite often in the beginning, but now I don't. Everything in my tank has balanced out and I don't need much more other than the stuff I started off with.
