Quick question regarding ICK

I saw one of my GBRs flashing/ scratching itself against the gravel. This does not happen OFTEN, but I was wondering if that behavior is ALWAYS indicative of ick. I raised the temp ~86 and started treating with paraguard. Anything else I can do? There are no visible white spots atm. Thanks

It's not recommended to do both heat and meds. Do one or the other for ich (I'd recommend heat).

I also wouldn't treat for ich unless you saw white spots. Flashing can be indicative of other parasites.

Why not both? Manipulating too many variables -> increasing stress?

It can also change the composition of some medications.
if you have a pill bottle handy, it usually tells you the temp to keep it in.
