Quick lil rant.... my lfs

sorry if this doesn’t fit the criteria of a post but my lfs is TERRIBLE here’s a quick example.. they don’t label rocks or fish correctly half the time and they guess on there information.they make petco sound smart LOL

story time: I gave up one of my amazing bettas to have a sw tank (dumb of me) and when I called later that day to tell them he does good with other fish she’s like “oh we put him in a bowl.” NO FILTER OR HEATER! anyways I never see them resell my fish even the next day there never there and they don’t get that much business so it’s not like someone’s buying my specific fish every time... ugh sorry guys

I would go back and get your fish, and rehome with instructions on facebook or craigs.

there closed now but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone “bought it” like when I sold my huge oranda buttercup the owner told me someone bought it immediately

once my lfs tried to convince me to buy otos for my 5 gallon betta tank. they said "otos aren't schooling fish", except behind him all the otos in the tank were schooling!

 

I have a terrible LFS in my town (The place is dirty, the fish are always sickly looking, it smells terrible in there, just not good). So I travel an hour and a half to go to what I consider to be the best LFS in the area. I would not trade my fish into the one in my town, and I think you should not trade fish into the one in your town anymore!

hopefully they didn't display the little guy/girl in its bowl and tell customers that you can keep bettas like that.

 

Wouldn't be surprised if they close for good at some point with those types of practices.
