Quick Black Diamond Sand Question

So I ordered online and picked it up from Tractor Supply. On the Black Diamond Blasting Sandbag it was marked 16/30 and the mark also goes into 12/40. Is this going to be too fine for my tank? I don't want to open it up and check because I won't be able to return it. Has anyone used this grit size? I bought it as medium grit so I am assuming 16/30 and 12/40 is a medium size. What do you all think?

 

I bought mine as medium grit as well. I don't recall the numbers, but I don't believe both being marked.

I don't remember the how it was marked when I bought it. I purchased the medium online and then went to the store and picked it up. I'm looking at both on Tractor Supply's website and the medium has black font on the bag and the fine has red font so maybe that will help.

You definitely want medium grit. The fine will be a pain as you will end up sucking sand up into your vacuum. The medium doesn't float around at all really (at least for me it doesn't). I find that it packs down pretty tightly if I don't stir it weekly.

Well if they mis-labeled it then it's on them and they should be willing to exchange it for the right product.

 

Yeah, you're right. I just need someone to tell me if they have the 16/30 or the 12/40 grit size.
