Questions For Panda And Sterbai Corydoras Owners

These are a couple of questions for those who currently have or had Panda and/ or SterbaI Corys.

I'm wondering what temperature everyone has kept or is keeping their Pandas/Sterbai's tank at?

Also how old was the oldest Panda/SterbaI you have had before it passed away from "old age"?

There seems to be a lot of conflicting info (isn't there always?) and I'd like to hear from those who have owned and /or do own Pandas and /or Sterbai's.

I want this thread to stay civil and I'd just like the answers to the 2 questions above. If you want to debate Panda/SterbaI Cory care or whatever else, please do it somewhere else.

 

IME panda corys 70f-75f and SterbaI corys 78f-82f

life span depends on so much , if it's the appropriate temp, water changes , diet ect.. but they can live up to 15 years.

I've only been fish keeping for little over 5 years and I have 6 peppered corys who are still currently living that I bought on day 1.

Hey that's a good start! I've read they can live anywhere from 3-4 yrs to 10 to 15 yrs. I'd just love to hear from people who have kept them and what their experiences have been. I'm planning to keep my SterbaI at 78f and I just got 6 Pandas since I returned my False Julii's (didn't want them interbreeding) and I want to see what the best temp has been overall for them. I have always had a hard time with Pandas in the past and I wanna see what other peoples experiences have been and what has worked well for them. I really miss my Julii's TBH, but I didn't want to set up yet another tank putting me at 6 tanks running.

Can I ask how you keep your peppered corys? (Temp, any other key parameters?) I have a few as my first return to fish keeping and I would love for them to live long and healthy lives.
